Well. It's certainly been a long time since this
And just look how far we've come.
I can't tell you.. what this means, what it all says. I hope you see it, some of it, at least, you'll get it the most. I love you. It's been such a long, hard journey.
And yet we're here. We made it. Through classes and pain and crying in the middle of the night, nightmares and broken down cars and scary fucking moments. We've had our share of pain and scary, scary nights. Terrifying moments, tearful phone calls, quiet silences neither of us like. It hasn't been fun, in those moments, but there's a golden core that keeps us together. That nothing can tear apart, not distance, not college, not pain, not scary times or bad grades or bad memories.
We made it. Through every stupid soppy gross leaving, through every hug and reunion, through every tense this-can't-be-over-fast-enough car ride back. Through it all, through every kiss, every cuddle, every random raspberry attack, every new damn food you make me try, every game you try to get me into, every place we visit. Every double date, every nice dinner, every pizza shared over your game room couch.
And I've watched you and your friends pull together, and I've seen mine do the same. They've heard every little tiny spitting mad scared conversation because you were gaming for two hours, but they never get to hear about all the good things. Every kiss, every gift that makes me want to smile until I break my face wide open. Every offer to carry me. Every offer to help with my broken ass computer. Every little bit of aid and love and help. Every time you answer "What can I do to help?" Sometimes I just need you to listen, and I don't think you know that - you want to fix things. You want me to feel better and you want to hug all the bad stuff away. Every time you've offered shelter from the bad things. Every little hug, every clinging hugthing that ends up with me spread halfway across the floor because you won't ever let go.
I love you. I'm so happy to have spent two years with you. I'm so incredibly teary and amazed at all the things you've done for me, you've gotten me. I love you. I am so incredibly ready to spend another year with you. To get closer to waking up every day with you. I can't wait to feel safe with you all the time. I can't wait. <3
