1 - What parts of your prompt were written well and easy to understand? Was there anything the writer of the prompt could improve on or include next time they create a prompt?
It seemed pretty straightforward upon reading it! A little too open, to be honest; never tell an artist "any animal" or else they end up.. uh.. accidentally choosing the most difficult type of animal to draw. Honestly, I didn't go into this thinking "praying mantis", but then a friend got a bug character while I was concepting and well. you know how that goes. If you can't draw bugs you're welcome to translate the design onto something you can draw!

2 - Please explain how you interpreted the prompt to create your design. Which features did you use? Did you stick to the chosen palette or make changes to it? Does the design you created have any special abilities or quirks?
OKAY SO this here bug child is a cutie who loves to wear flowers and ribbons, and her small cricket pet is also often decorated in stylish accessories! Her messenger bag is mostly crammed full of things just for this purpose, but she also carries around some small games to entertain her and her cricket, some yummy sugary snacks, and a personal journal! Maybe she's an artist, and likes to sketch petty things she sees? Or just unwind by writing down her experiences at the end of a day.
Clothes don't translate terribly well to a bug form, but a bit of a modified kimono form does the trick here! She prefers pastels and gentle colors + patterns, because her own colors are so very bright! Much like a sunset; which means she loves to accessorize with cool blues and violets, usually in the form of flowers on her antannae!

This was incredibly fun, I really hope the species choice doesn't put you off too badly x3 maybe you'll even like it!
