[WL] Magical Yaks - Through the Night
Neshni woke from his nap to an empty lap: it seemed that his small, brightly colored friend had wandered off to greener pastures.. Or other pastry-holding woolyne. No matter: the world was calling at him again, and he stretched his arms open wide, feeling some of the bones in his back crack. The hammock had been a neat enough resting spot, but Neshni knew he would be sore for a little while after he stood up.
Nebhekt called softly for him to wake, though, so she must have seen something curious enough to want the two of them to investigate. He rolled and stood up from the hammock, shaking out his limbs and twacking his tail solidly on one of

[WL] Magical Yaks - Midnight Garden Chase
Neshni wandered into town, hands thrust into the pockets of a pair of oversized pants, gathered at the ankles to keep them from flapping in the wind or moving about too much. They still billowed, but just a little bit of flair. Drama. Whatever.
The tall, thin, dark woolyne tried to keep his glances slow and gentle, turning his head only as he needed to. This kept Nebhekt relatively still and very quiet, as she was hanging off of the uppermost part of his horns, deeply asleep in the daylight. It was fading slowly, dusk approaching from far off. She’d wake soon enough, so Neshni had no need to go about rousing her any earlier than she wou

[WL] Magical Yaks - The Hill Again?!
Fuure could hold a calf under the arms without much effort, its little legs swinging in the air somewhere around her waist. It didn’t even seem to be that upset about the whole process, contentedly muching on a larger flower that it had thefted from her hair.
She supposed that was in fact a detriment to this way of transporting a nikyak calf, for her anyways. Not too many other woolyne wore flowers in their wool, in the way that a baby nikyak could reach up and steal them for a snack, and had the strength to carry one around, too.
The chicern attached to her wool was less pleased with this arrangement, clinging desperately to her should

[WL] Magical Yaks - Bright Mornings
Fuure passed the night restlessly, not only eager for tomorrow and baking and less interference from the calves - who would not be awake so early, and there might just be someone coming by to take them away to the farm, back where they belonged - but also now sharing the already too-small bed with two more not-chicken companions.
The chicern from her earlier kitchen adventures, it seemed, was a common passerby and had no problems waltzing into the shop, the bakery, the store front or the kitchen, and now had even managed to find its way up into the room that Fuure had been given. And it always looked smug. She glared at it, sleeping perched o

[WL] Magical Yaks - Grandmotherly
"Arlette?!" Fuure spun around, a nikyak munching on her apples, a strange chicken adjacent animal staring her down, and now a third unfamiliar figure in this bakery - wasn't this supposed to be quiet?! But the woolyne before her was old, hunched over, and frail. She was absolutely no threat at all, and Fuure made an effort to relax and let the tenseness out of her muscles. A few too many things were going on right now, and she really wished it would calm down.
The strange chicken suddenly moved, flopping its way over to the strange woolyne, moving.. absolutely nothing like Fuure would expect a chicken to move, more like a snake, and wiggled i
